Fleet Service Technician

Job Title - Fleet Service Technician

Location – Columbia, SC

Job Description:

As a Fleet Service Technician with Bossa Nova you will be tasked with ensuring the ability of our systems to conduct daily operations.  Your responsibilities will include traveling to stores in your service area to troubleshoot and repair robots.  Logical troubleshooting experience will be critical in this role. You will need to have good people and analytical skills in order to quickly communicate both issues and insights with Engineering and Operations teams. You must become familiar with the product, strategy, and the customer's business in order to communicate this effectively. Must be willing to travel on a semi-regular basis to observe and report back to the team on robot activities and perform required repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Extensive travel, including some international, is anticipated (30% to 50%)
  • Primary post-sales in-field technical support for assigned service area
  • Provide in-field support and training to Regional Technicians
  • Install upgrades, retrofits, and perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance in assigned service area
  • Answer questions, perform demonstrations, explain best use of the product as required
  • Gather product failure data, deficiencies, & desired updates
  • Support failure review and corrective action implementation
  • Communicate deficiencies, desired updates, and configuration change requests of product
  •  Develop the outline for and review Operation, Technical & Maintenance Manuals
  • Develop the outline for and review Training Packages

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • 2+ years related experience. Military training or trade school
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and walk 4 miles in the course of a day
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds up to 4 feet high
  • Demonstrated computer skills including specialized software and advanced operating system skills. Familiarity with issue tracking and ticketing systems
  • Ability to learn quickly
