Director of Supply Chain

At Bossa Nova we create service robots for the global retail industry. Our robots’ mission is to make large scale stores run efficiently by automating the collection and analysis of on-shelf inventory data. We drive autonomously through aisles, navigating safely among customers and store associates. If we were a self- driving car we’d be operating at level 5 autonomy.

Position: Director of Supply Chain 

Location- Mountain View, CA


  • Owner of the supply chain and planning processes at the company
  • Manage business relationships for our suppliers
  • Develop and negotiate  contracts, terms and conditions for contract manufacturing and other suppliers
  • Manage product cost roadmap
  • Build Supply chain organization including global supplier managers, purchasing, logistics, and internal receiving functions.
  • Key team member driving  sales operations and planning requirements.
  • Develop and implement demand and supply planning processes, MRP, and KPIs.
  • Lead consensus demand and supply planning meetings to drive performance improvements on forecast accuracy & bias, service levels, inventory management and product waste
  • Lead the integration activities between forecasting of customer demand, distributors’ inventory replenishment, and suppliers’ production plan requirements
  • Capacity planning and inventory management of suppliers and distributors
  • Optimize logistics options and strategies with distributors, third party logistics vendors, and customers.
  • Ensure key customer metrics are being implemented and met for each shipment: on-time delivery, orders delivered without complaints, logistics requirement compliance, and related issues.


  • 10+ years of supply chain planning experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or equivalent degree preferred
  • Demonstrated “change leadership & management” skills with significant results as related to supply chain planning performance improvements
  • Demonstrated successful S&OP implementation experience
  • Demonstrated project management results through personal leadership
  • Experience in leading and developing team members
  • Ability to think strategically and execute/problem solve tactical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Results oriented self-starter with high energy level
  • Proven negotiation and problem resolution skills; with a positive attitude focused on win/win solutions
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
